If you will be providing the print-ready artwork for your product, please make sure it fully adheres to our requirements. This will ensure we can keep to the expected turnaround times. Unsuitable artwork can delay your order or produce unsatisfactory results.
Don’t forget that we offer a design service on all of our products. We’d be happy to create a professional, bespoke design to suit your needs.
All artwork must be supplied:
- According to, or on, our product templates where applicable. Please contact us to request templates
- With bleed (amount of bleed required will be specified on the template)
- Using the artboard/page boundary to indicate the finished size. If crop marks are used, they should be outside of the bleed area
- In CMYK colour mode
- With all images embedded
- With all text converted to outlines/curves/shapes
- At 100% scale, unless otherwise stated
- On the ‘Design’ layer if using one of our product templates
- With a file name indicating the final dimensions, a description and quantity (e.g. “3m x 1m PVC Banner with 5mm bleed, 1 off”)
Accepted file formats:

- AI (Adobe Illustrator)
- PSD (Adobe Photoshop, recommended flattened)
- TIFF (recommended flattened)
- JPEG (recommended high resolution)

Free File Check
We offer a free file check, so you can rest assured knowing that we’ll contact you if there are any issues with your artwork before your order goes into production. We can advise you on any alterations needed to make your file(s) print-ready, or for a small charge we can do the set up for you. If you’re unsure about your artwork set up, please get in touch and we’d be happy to assist.
Set Up Service
We will turn any finished design into a print-ready PDF. We’ll send you a proof to approve ahead of production.
Bespoke Design Service
We offer a design service on every single product across our website. Please be ready to supply a detailed brief for our designer, who will work directly with you until you’re happy you have the desired result.
Prices vary by product, and by your individual needs, so we will provide you with a custom quote.
UPLOADING YOUR ARTWORK
Once your artwork is ready to upload, please send to us via WeTransfer. Or for files 5MB or less you may wish to email them to us: info@ajdesignsuk.com.
Pantone Colours and Colour Matching
Pantone colours with effects applied (such as transparency), will often not print as intended an may result in a solid colour. When using effects and transparency, please only use CMYK colours.
If you would like to match to a specific colour, we would recommend ordering a small test print first on the desired material. Due to various factors such as printing methods, different substrates and lighting, results may not always be as expected. The test could contain either a small version of the entire artwork, or a collection of different colour values/Pantones.
Notes
Please note that we cannot be held responsible for issues contained in the supplied artwork itself such as spelling mistakes, grammatical errors, RGB colour mode, overprint, resolution, missing fonts, missing images and layers set to non-printing.
Whilst our design team will notify you if they pick up on any obvious errors, we are to assume that the artwork sent has been carefully checked and is ready to print.
If artwork cannot be used to produce what has been ordered, we will advise you of this and request how you would like to proceed. This could delay your order.
With subjective issues of quality, such as image resolution, we will advise you if the quality is extremely low. Though again, we cannot be held responsible if the artwork is supplied in such a manner and isn’t suitable for your needs.
